Conduct a sports survey in your class. Make graphs to show your results. Write about your results.

Complete the sentences with PLAY or PLAYS:

Make a list of top 10 sports people watch on TV. Include some of these: snooker, athletics, boxing, motor car racing, cricket, darts, rugby, tennis, skating, swimming, snow sports, football, golf, basketball or water polo.

Match the sport with the place it is played:

1 basketball               A pitch

2 football                  B rink

3 ice hockey              C court

4 tennis                     D field

5 cricket                   E pool  

6 water polo              F court

Put these sports into groups: need a ball, need a racquet, need water or need special boots.

Write down two things you are good at and two things you are not good at. Change notebooks with your partner and write down two sentences about your partner.

E.g. David is good at basketball and football. He is not good at ice skating and skiing.

Look at the picture of different sports for a few seconds. Cover the picture and try to remember as many as you can. As a team, write down all the sports. For each sport remembered and written correctly, the team gets 1 point. For the sport left out, the team loses 2 points.
