There is a group of adjectives that
don't follow the rules when they form their comparative and
superlative.These adjectives need to be learnt by heart:
GOOD - BETTER - THE BEST
BAD/ILL/EVIL - WORSE - THE WORST
MUCH/MANY/A LOT OF - MORE - THE MOST
LITTLE - LESS - THE LEAST
FAR (distance only) - FARTHER - THE FARTHEST
FAR (degree) - FURTHER - THE FURTHEST
OLD (family members) - ELDER - THE ELDEST
