We use GOING TO and infinitive to talk about some plans in the near future:
I am going to buy some books this afternoon.
He is going to have lunch at one o'clock.
They are going to meet at Mary's place.
We make questions with inversion:
Are you going to watch TV tonight?
Are you going to watch TV tonight?
Is the girl going to draw a house?
We make negative sentences by adding NOT after TO BE:
I am not going to read the newspaper.
He is not going to have breakfast at six o'clock.
We are not going to play football this afternoon.
We also use GOING TO to make predictions:
Look! It's going to rain.
It's cold. It's going to snow.

Konstrukcijom GOING TO i infinitivom izražavamo plan koji ćemo izvršiti u bliskoj budućnosti:
I am going to buy some books this afternoon. (Planiram da kupim / Kupiću nekoliko knjiga danas posle podne.)
He is going to have lunch at one o'clock. (On će ručati danas u jedan sat.)
They are going to meet at Mary's place. (Srešće se kod Marije.)
Upitni oblik se gradi inverzijom:
Are you going to watch TV tonight? (Hoćete li gledati TV večeras?)
Are you going to watch TV tonight? (Hoćete li gledati TV večeras?)
Is the girl going to draw a house? (Da li će devojčica nacrtati kuću?)
Odrični oblik nastaje dodavanjem rečce NOT (NE) iza glagola TO BE:
I am not going to read the newspaper. (Neću čitati novine.)
He is not going to have breakfast at six o'clock. (neće doručkovati u šest sati.)
We are not going to play football this afternoon. (Nećemo igrati fudbal ovo popodne.)
GOING TO upotrebljavamo i kada govorimo o nekom predviđanju, o nečemu što će se očigledno desiti:
Look! It's going to rain. (Pogledajte! Pašće kiša.)
It's cold. It's going to snow. (Hladno je. Pašće sneg.)
